PRICING GUIDELINES

AIR – CONTINENTAL AIRLINES
The trip is from early Saturday December 5th through late Saturday December 12th. We travel from San Antonio to Montego Bay through Houston on Continental Airlines. Price per RT ticket as of May 28, is $541 including taxes & fees. You are allowed one 50lb checked bag, one carry-on bag, and a camera case or purse. Additional bags are $25 each way. You will need a passport to take this trip.

GROUND – KINGSLEY'S BUS SERVICE
Transport RT from Montego Bay directly to Xtabi Resort via Kingsley. Price $70 RT including $5 tip ea way. Extra special treatment is the bottom line.

HOTELS – XTABI RESORT/WHITE SANDS RESORT
We are offering three options this trip in order of popularity they are:

7-NIGHTS ON THE CLIFFS
Seven nights on the cliffs at Xtabi Resort. Room options and prices are listed above. The NET price at Xtabi reflects an 8% discount for paying your hotel bill at checkin in CASH. Credit cards are gladly accepted but there is no discount. We have reserved ALL the Standard Superior and Plus Rooms (all the AC rooms). Two remain available. 7-NIGHTS SPLIT WEEK
Three nights at the White Sands Resort on 7-Mile Beach and four nights at Xtabi on the cliffs Room allocations between the beach and cliffs are based on availability. The NET price quoted for the White Sands adds the additional energy surcharge ($3 a night) and the 8.25% Service Charge.

7-NIGHTS ON THE BEACH
Seven nights at the White Sands Resort. We are shooting for reserving the one bedroom apartment and perhaps a standard with a kitchenette for usage on both the week on the beach and the split week options.
 
IT FELT SO GOOD LAST TIME THAT WE HAD TO . . .
Come join us in beautiful Negril, Jamaica May 9th- 16th for another great week in paradise. We leave early Saturday May 9th from San Antonio and fly through Houston to Montego bay on Continental Airlines.  Once through customs, we board our private van for the 90-minute ride from Montego Bay to the Cliffs of Negril - slugging down Red Stripe every inch of the way. We are staying at the Xtabi Resort for the third time.  A week on the cliffs with pristine waters and drop dead gorgeous sunsets will chill you out and make for an "irie" time.  Here's a slide show from last trip.
   
Xtabi Resort WHAT TO DO (OR NOT)
One of the best ways to experience Jamaica is with no itinerary or agenda. We make trips from the cliffs to 7-Mile Beach and to Ricks but most of the time we hang at Xtabi soaking up sun, surf and reggae.  The folks at Xtabi are wonderfully friendly and helpful and the property is one of the best on the cliffs.  Some of of our previous visits split the week between the beach and the cliffs but to get these great prices, occupancy is based on a weekly basis.  If you want to split your week, we will be glad to help you out.
   
Negril - 7 Mile Beach A TYPICAL DAY ON THE CLIFFS
I start my day with a cup of Blue Mountain coffee, hang around the room until the sun is up and then head for the water.  Perhaps a bit of breakfast in the restaurant.  I hang out on a chaise lounge or hammock with my beach book, MP3 player and a rum punch or Red Stripe. Every hour or so a jump in the cove with my snorkel to cool off.  By noon this amount of exertion has become exhausting and I return to the room to chill and make a sandwich.  Afternoon is back to the water for a repeat of the morning.  Come dinner time I head next door to Just Natural, a local veggie restaurant fav, or 3 Dives Chicken shack for some jerked chicken or eat right at the hotel.  Back to the bar for a few more cocktails and off to bed.  Repeat as necessary.  One or two days I will hop in a cab for a $5 ride to The White Sands Resort down on 7-Mile Beach for their daily 2-for-1 drink specials and one evening I will head out for some reggae and perhaps the obligatory sunset cocktail at Ricks.  If you like a fast paced and regimented itinerary while surrounded by the overpaying clueless, check into one of the all-inclusive gated resorts down on the beach.

Take a look at some of the options - if you are traveling with a companion and sharing a room, I defy you to find a better vacation value!

HOW WE WORK IT
The Music Office is not in the travel agency business and these trips are not to make money but to share an awesome travel and cultural experience.  All the prices posted below are what the actual going rate is - with nothing added.  Prices also include all taxes and fees.

On February 9th, we will have our booking party.  Everybody comes over to Slacker Manor and logs into Continental.com and we all buy our tickets at the same time to assure we are all on the same flights.  If you come in after the booking party, you are on your own and if the flight fills up, you may have to make other arrangements.  If you miss the group transfer, no problem, you can catch any of many other van services to Negril - it just might take a great deal longer because of stops for other tourists along the way.

You will receive a discount if you pay your room for the whole week in cash.  We will know the cash discount as we get closer to departure but it is at least 5%.

Airfare is paid in advance and transfer and hotel are paid at check in.
